Who are the MCIA?
The Motorcycling Industry Association – or MCIA for short – is a membership organisation that represents and oversees the interests of the motorcycle, scooter and Powered Light Vehicle (PLV) industry.
Based in Coventry, the MCIA works closely with members and a wide range of stakeholders, such as the Government and its agencies, the police, press and road safety organisations, to promote, protect and expand the UK L-category industry.
The MCIA is also the team responsible for organising and hosting the single largest motorcycling event here in the UK: Motorcycle Live. Motorcycle Live is held every year at the NEC in Birmingham and this year, the dates of the show are 19th to the 27th of November. Tickets are now available.
This year, we are really excited to announce that we will be on stand 4A10 with our good friends from Datatool, promoting our new “Lock It. Track It. Mark It.” security bundle range and talking all things motorbike and garage security. If you fancy a chat about how to best secure your garage or motorbike, make sure to come and say hello and meet the handsome faces behind Image4Security and Data Tool!
If you are in the market for a new bike at Motorcycle Live, be sure to invest up to 10% of the value of the bike on keeping it safe and secure with some specialist motorbike security equipment. The Image4 team will be available at the event if you want some professional knowledge on the best motorbike security for you.

What is the Motorcycle Crime Reduction Group and what do they do?
The Motorcycle Crime Reduction Group (MCRG for short) is a partnership made up of representatives from rider interest groups, insurance companies, motorcycle manufacturers, the Police and security businesses like us. The MCRG is hosted and chaired by Tony Campbell, chief executive officer at the MCIA. The group meet regularly throughout the year to discuss the latest trends within the security world, as well as new strategies and ideas on how to best tackle future security issues.

Image4Security’s MCRG Involvement:
As the newest member to join the MCRG, we are excited to begin contributing to the group and offer our knowledge when it comes to physical security solutions in the fight against crime.
There has been an increasing dependence on motorbikes as the country switches to a more sustainable solution as a result of ever-increasing fuel costs. More people are choosing to commute by motorbike, which means securing your pride and joy from criminal hands has never been more crucial.
Here at Image4Security, we offer a wide range of security products, including our Guardsman security barriers, which are available for both your garage and shed. We also offer impressive ground anchors, chains and padlocks.
Our Guardsman security barriers form a physical barrier across your door opening and physically stop large possessions like your motorbike from being wheeled out and stolen. The Guardsman is the ultimate garage security device, offering total user peace of mind. We also offer a range of out-and-about security products under our ZOVII brand, with these products providing the perfect solution when popping to the shops or taking along when going touring. Lightweight and effective, our ZOVII alarmed locks are fantastic additions to any layered security system.
Just to mention again, we will be at the Motorcycle Live show in November, so if you have any burning questions about motorbike security or out-and-about security essentials, or if you just want to hear first-hand how good our ground anchors are, then come and say hello. The team will be happy to meet you and give you some expert knowledge.
When the MCIA visited Image4Security:
This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming both Tony Campbell – chief executive officer of the MCIA – and Nick Duck – head of marketing of the MCIA – to our factory here in the West Midlands. We discussed our plans for the future, as well as giving them a sneak peak into the new security devices we are currently working on.
Here’s what Tony had to say about his visit:
“It was great to meet the team at Image4Security and be able to take a closer look at the operation. It’s great to see high-quality, well thought out security devices for the motorcycle sector from a passionate team of engineers and designers. Although a fledgling business in our sector, they are a great example of being aware of where opportunities exist in the market and introducing products to meet that demand, which are of premium design, manufactured to a high standard and are easy to use for the customer. Keep up the good work and we look forward to seeing many more new innovations from Image4 over the coming years.”
What the future holds for Image4:
